Folding hook and spike mechanical blacksmith model with clasp. Length 4" folded, 7.25" open. Steel with brass plate on thumb lever. This nicely ornamented example is most likely a Fisk model, although the thumb lever and the neck separating the thimble from the clasp vary from the patent. Another maker, C.H. Garland is also a possibility. This is a finally decorated model, with fancy stamping on the handle, thimble and clasp. Fine example of the craftsman’s skill.
